I've just spent an amazing day doing a workshop in Meriden, UK with Phil where he taught me, and several other UK acupuncturists, about his ground-breaking work treating scar tissue and sometimes surprisingly related health issues. Seeing was believing! I'm not trained in Japanese non-insertive Toyohari acupuncture however Phil made his technique readily accessible to me. He treated two of my patients on the day: one who has three scars resulting from surgery [the skin surrounding them felt so hard it was as if there was a brick underneath her skin - amongst other results, the tissue softened considerably. My other patient said he felt "marvellous" after Phil's treatment. If you get the chance, I would thoroughly recommend his workshops. He is obviously a gifted healer and acupuncturist..

Phil has been a colleague and somewhat of a mentor for me over the last few years since I joined the Australian Branch of the Toyohari Medical Association. He is internationally recognised as a specialist in scar treatments, and it is for this reason that I went to see him with my wife after she became pregnant with our third child. After having two previous C-sections we wanted to have a natural birth this time and part of that process was to ensure that her caesarian scar was well healed before giving birth. Phil gave her a very subtle and energetic treatment, using only a Teishin and his abundant Qi,.... And it proved to be very effective...we had a natural, easy homebirth with no complications at all! I would highly recommend Phil for his expertise and experience, not only in his specialisation of scar treatments, but also for his energetic and enthusiastic approach to acupuncture.
