I joined the Department of Twin Research and Genetic Epidemiology so to expand my multidisciplinary interests in the development of most common diseases. Throughout my PhD, I have worked and refined my quantitative and statistical skills and worked with huge datasets such as the UK Biobank. I also learnt how to collaborate effectively with researchers and enquire the right critical thinking. I became a part of the Royster Society of Fellows, selected by KCL and UNC to represent the Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine. During my time at UNC we run workshops and became aware of the huge impact little scientific advancements can make worldwide. I conducted a 6 months internship at the University of Aberdeen, Department of Epidemiology - one of the top leading centers in the world. I researched the impact of Physical Activity and "boost" interventions in order to asses what is the best way for elderly individuals to continue exercising. I learnt how to perform systematics reviews and how to present the results to a wide audience.
