  WORKING EXPERIENCE Thirty five (35) years of working experience in Ministry of Health Malaysia from year 1986 and officially retired on 17 August 2021. Medical profession started in 1986 as a House Officer in Hospital Ipoh Perak. In December 1987, was transferred to Alor Setar Hospital as a Medical Officer. After eight (8) years of clinical experience as a Medical Officer, decided to become a Public Health Medical Officer. In 1996, obtained a Master Degree (Public Health) from University Malaya and gazetted as a Public Health Specialist in 2002. He subsequently obtained certification through a two (2) years Epidemic Intelligent Program (EIP) training in Ministry of Health (MOH) Malaysia from 2004 to 2006. He was further acknowledged by Ministry of Health Malaysia and Academy of Medicine of Malaysia as a Public Health Specialist in 2011 and was listed in the National Specialist Register (NSR) of Malaysia. The Council of Malaysian Public Health Physicians Association has also acknowledged his motivation and vast contribution to Public Health thus admitting him as a Fellow of Public Health Medicine Malaysia on 16 July 2018 As a public health professional, he has experienced working at various levels including district, state and National level. He represented MOH at the State and National level to various ASEAN Health Committee Meetings, World Health Organisation(WHO) and the World Health Assembly. In August 2012, was promoted as the Pahang State Health Director. In October 2014 transferred to Kedah as Kedah State Health Director. January 2020 moved from Kedah State to Putrajaya as the Director of Medical Development Division Ministry of Health Malaysia. A year later in Januari 2021, was promoted as the Deputy Director General of Health Malaysia (Medical) before officially retired on 17 August 2021 Show less
