Bio
Leena Pekkalainen
I was very happy with Miriam's editing work on my novel Nephilim Quest 1: Shadowhunter. She has excellent command of English and a very good eye for the story. My book was so much better after the editorial process. For anyone searching for a good editor - be it for fiction or non-fiction - I warmly recommend Miriam.

I am available for archaeological, media and equestrian consultancy work and would be interested in any opportunities in journalism as well. I'm an archaeological consultant for Past Preservers, a company with which I've worked on several projects to date. http://pastpreservers.com/our-team/ My most recent projects include involvement in a major documentary on Egyptian chariotry, "Building Pharaoh's Chariot" which was produced by TV6 for US television network Nova. I'm also researching projects on working horses and horses in Scotland. Horses, history and magic are combined in my successful series of novels, "Mistress Meg and the Elizabethan Rogues. Two have so far been published in this series, and a third is nearing completion. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mistress-Meg-Prigger-Prancers-ebook/dp/B0077MJU1E I'm currently involved in a number of editing projects, including work for The Parthian Shot, the newsletter of the British Horseback Archery Association. Rural Life Engager (Stock and Horse)
-
Mar 2015 - Nov 2017
I'm a member of the the Rural Life/Horse Operations Team at Beamish. The horses are gorgeous and the people are knowledgeable and fun. We engage with visitors interactively in order to bring to life the stories of the rural communities of the north east in the 19th and 20th centuries. I'm currently based at the Georgian stables at the beautiful Pockerley Old Hall. I'm a member of the the Rural Life/Horse Operations Team at Beamish.
