Alongside completing my PhD at Brighton and Sussex Medical School, I have been working part-time as a locum pharmacist across East and West Sussex, on a self employed basis. I have worked in a variety of community pharmacies, including supermarket and GP practice based dispensaries. I am accredited for Medicines Use Reviews, and the New Medicines Service, as well as being trained for provision of anti material prophylaxis under an Asda pharmacy PGD. I have additionally worked as a clinical pharmacist for Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust and West Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, covering in-patient and outpatient dispensaries, as well as ward cover.

Optimising therapy by performing medicines reconciliation at the point of admission, and preparing TTO medication for discharge. Providing prescribing advice and administration information to doctors and nurses respectively both at ward level and through Medicines Information rotation. Responsibilities included pre-packing fast moving stock for the dispensary, overseeing the TPN dispensing and stock supplies to wards, preparing a weekly order for these medicines, filling ward requisitions, dispensing/ delivering items to the wards and answering telephones.
