Function as a technical resource for providing expert guidance to various research institutes, bodies and ministries of the Government of India on nutrition and health. Provides SME in developing resource material, guidelines, health and nutrition policies, a toolkit for various ministries of the GoI, in the form of training modules, communication aids, videos/films/radio spots, scripts, presentations. Handpick to represent NCEARD in meetings with government officials, international bodies and other stakeholders as well as coordinate for mass awareness campaigns with NCEARD, bringing recognition in form of National level Awards and manage the digital presence of NCEARD: Website, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and Sound Cloud. I joined as Junior Research Fellow in the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism and rose to the position of Senior Research Fellow in Oct 2012 and contributed to the DBT Funded Research Project - Childhood Obesity: Inflammatory Markers, Gene Variation and Epigenetics, an Association Study in Urban and Rural Areas of North India. I was involved in defining project budgets, monitoring project progress & resource utilization, ensuring competition within budgets and within the stipulated time, and developing peer-reviewed manuscripts, research publications and delivering paper presentations at international and national level conferences.
