I was also responsible for developing and administering the Code of Student Conduct, Judicial Hearings, and served on the academic appeals committee. In order to increase retention, I continued to serve on East Campus' 2020 Committee. I organized a campus-wide retention committee with representation of our various staff, faculty, administrators, and outreach centers to develop a holistic plan. The leadership team identified nine target populations and created the appropriate sub-committees to focus on these areas. Each subcommittee was given the autonomy to research their population and report their suggestions to the leadership team for further analysis.

I am also responsible for developing and administering the Code of Student Conduct, Judicial Hearings, and Academic Appeals. In order to help increase enrollment, I led the charge to purchase an enrollment management software system to help capture lost enrollment through the onboarding process. This included helping the East Campus' 2020 Committee get started to increase enrollment primarily through the marketing of our nationally renowned Agriculture and Equine programs as well as targeting student populations who were not attending. At the main campus in the Quad Cities, I led the charge to increase enrollment through retention management.

I was the Dean of Student Services at Sauk Valley Community college from 2007 to 2014. I was responsible for developing and administering the Code of Student Conduct, Judicial Hearings, and Academic Appeals. I served as an adjunct professor teaching a section of our college orientation class known as PSY 100. This PSY 100 class was replaced with the FYE 101 class. I also taught a section of this new class. I worked on creating a retention plan and strategic enrollment management plan for the college which led to SVCC having the 3rd highest retention percentage in the state of Illinois. This was accomplished by work done by my staff and other members of the college community. I worked with members of the president's cabinet and other college staff to push for mandatory new student orientation and mandatory first-year experience class. In 2014, SVCC won the national Retention Award given by Noel-Levitz. The award recognized Sauk’s efforts on building and implementing mandatory student orientation and First Year Experience class. I advocated for a one-stop shop remodel of the different student services offices that were scattered throughout the building. While this was not realized during my time at SVCC, the concept of building out of the defined space were done, as I had suggested.
