      Kylie embarked on further study and completed Masters and Doctoral programs and worked on a number of projects associated with maternal and paediatric health. Kylie was involved in research and teaching in academic settings in the School of Medicine, Physiotherapy and Exercise Science at Griffith University in Queensland. She had a Research Fellowship at the Heart Foundation Research Centre between 2004 to 2005. Kylie also worked during this period with general practitioner Dr Geoffrey Cornish on a cardiac rehabilitation walking program. Kylie worked closely with paediatric and child health clinicians on the Gold Coast in the development and establishment of the Children’s Health Research Program, a joint initiative between Griffith University and Queensland Health. This role extended in 2006 to include the establishment of the Griffith Health Institute of which Kylie was the Executive Officer. This involved setting up the Institute and developing the strategic focus, direction and leadership for the Health Group and University. Show less
