Research : “Interaction of nitric oxide with auxin and ethylene signalling in Arabidopsis root gravitropism” The Main objective of this study is to investigate the role of NIA1 gene mediated NO signalling in root gravitropism and interaction with plant hormones auxin and ethylene. Quantified NIA1 transcript in Arabidopsis wild type and mutants root in response to gravity using qPCR and localized the NO accumulation site by confocal microscopy. Cloned NIA1 gene with reporter-gene mGFP4, made a transcriptional and translational reporter construct. These construct were further transformed in to wild type, mutants and successfully expressed in roots and stomata. Show less
