In my capacity as Assistant Head (Director of) Teaching Schools, I was responsible for guiding the Teaching School in its delivery of the ‘Big 6’ framework provided by the National College for Teaching and Leadership. This included school-led Initial Teacher Training (ITT), professional and leadership development, identifying and developing leadership potential, providing school to school support, designating and brokering specialist leaders of education (SLEs) and engaging in research and development activities. I led a team who researched, developed and coordinated the delivery of a continuum of professional learning opportunities for staff within the partnership and our vision was to embed a culture of aspiration, learning and excellence with those schools. I supported the delivery of ITT, Leadership and Research within schools of the Wellington College Teaching School Partnership (WCTSP).

In my role I provided oversight of Geography programmes for the Middle Years Program, IB Diploma, IGCSE and A-Level curriculums. I prepared Annual Development Plans, CPD and maintained all department policies. I was also responsible for tracking students, benchmarking performance and assisting teachers to develop interventions to support those students who needed it.
