Research areas covered so far include: economic, population and cultural implications of talent identification and development, examining existing successful models and the dangers of wholesale importation, physical/physiological testing in talent identification, primary motivators of elite athletes, sports governance and the effect of a lack of inter-agency communication/cooperation.

Provided on field care for athletes during competition, assisted in research projects conducted by the Performance Department, assisted in the physical preparation of athletes for competition, assisted in athlete rehabilitation, coordinated and conducted fitness testing of athletes enrolled on the Elite Athlete Programme, assisted in the delivery of external courses and fitness testing programmes run by the department. Also, I was a co-lecturer on the Sports First Aid and Injury Unit (part of the BSc Sports Science Science Course).
