I joined AJP in 2002 after finishing my LLB (hons). I became a registered Patent Attorney in 2005. During these years I acted for international clients seeking patent protection in Australia and/or New Zealand, as well as local clients wanting to commercialise their technology internationally. My local client base contained many Universities and Crown Research Industries, as well as corporates. Although handling a broad range of chemical technologies, I mostly advised on intellectual property strategies for pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and food innovations.I also provided IP training sessions and workshops to clients wanting to understand how to get a stronger IP position from their research programmes. In later years, I started advising clients on the commercialisation of their pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and food technologies.
