Elected to serve as Vice President of the Latin American Studies Association (LASA) between June 1, 2022 and May 31, 2023. On June 1, 2023 I will serve as President of LASA for a one-year term. I will then serve another year as Past President of the Association. Member of the Executive Council during the entire three-year period. LASA is the largest association of Latin Americanists in the world, with 13,000 members from 75 countries. It organizes an annual international congress, publishes the peer-reviewed academic journal Latin American Research Review, the quarterly bulletin LASA Forum, and manages the Latin American Research Commons.
