KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Supervise the work allotted to Deputy Directors and Assistant Directors (T) working under me. 2. To supervise the work relating to Establishment and Administration matters. 3. To supervise and handle the Court Cases relating to the organization 4. Undertake all necessary measures for Planning and Execution of Statistical jobs in connection with the Population Census and those related to other Govt. Schemes/projects taken by the office. 5. Scrutiny of manuscripts of Census publication, Bulletins, Reports etc., and bring about necessary modifications and improvements within the framework and prescribed norms. 6. Supervise fieldwork of Census, Social Studies, Demography, Sample Registration System, Civil Registration System, Cause of death, Linguistic Survey etc. 7. Assist and finalization of Agenda Note and Proceedings, Workshops, Seminars, and Conferences organized by the office. 8. Impart training to the Charge Officers and Master Trainers (BDO, Tehsildar, Executive Officers, Deputy Collectors etc., ) during Census Operations and also to the personnel associated with other Govt. Schemes and projects. 9. Monitor the fieldwork relating to Census Operations and other Govt. Schemes/projects and provide necessary guidance on technical matters. 10. Monitoring the progress of work relating to the processing of data collected during House listing Operations, Population Enumeration and fieldwork of various other Govt. Schemes and projects. 11. Moot out plans and programmes for proper dissemination of Census data and the data relating other Govt. Schemes like survey etc. 12. Coordinate between Senior Officers and Subordinate staffs. 13. Preparation of materials on questions received for the reply in Parliament and State Assemblies. 14. Attend to other miscellaneous duties assigned by the Senior Officers. Show less
