As an Oxford Brookes student from 2008 - 2012, I was under the guidance of the university's Modern Languages department. The course aims to enhance students' employability, particularly through the possibility of undertaking a work placement during the year abroad. My tutors helped me obtain an internship in the communications department of an international sports TV network, which subsequently led to a further employment opportunity following the end of my studies.

Throughout the 5 years that I was a student at Oxford Brookes Irène was an inspiration. I took may subjects Irène taught and all the lectures were well structured and clear steps were always identified for self improvement. I am thankful for Irène’s dedication to her students and her ongoing support for the Modern Foreign Languages Department at Oxford Brookes University.
