Hired to create a MOOC (massive open online course) to share an Electricity and Magnetism course, in the form of video lectures, animations, demonstrations, artistic renderings and other fun creative outlets. Establish and manage multi-national fabrication project involving multiple collaborators from France, Taiwan and Australia. Develop and negotiate collaborations with potential partners from the private sector (Regis Resources Ltd and ElectroMagnetic Imaging Technology). Present research results to the Deputy Premier of Western Australia to promote research funding (2011). Prepare and deliver numerous presentations on research project and results: SPIE 2010 conference in San Francisco, to prospective PhD students at UWA and as a speaker for a SciTech outreach activity involving high school students. Manage and supervise undergraduate research assistants. Provide safety inductions, training in the use of lab facilities and preparation of weekly progress reports. Prepare and deliver science shows and lab demonstrations for visiting high school students from across the country. On a yearly basis, design, develop and present a special science program to visiting foreign students. Organise and coordinate visits to the Gingin Discovery remote facility, including extracurricular activities. Lab demonstrator for first and third year physics students. This included supervision, course development and evaluation. Provide tutoring sessions to undergraduate students in physics and mathematics. Show less
