This is a medical leadership role in which i am majorly responsible for contracting doctors that work in two organizations i work with. I am also responsible for recommending doctors working for our organisations to GMC after a satisfactory revalidation in order to continue to maintain their licenses to practice. In this role, i get actively involved in investigating concerns about doctors in practice by working closely with GMC via Employment Liaising Adviser (ELA), Medical Directors and ROs in other designated bodies. Other big part of my role involves (but not limited to) carrying out Annual Organisational Audit (AOA) where i set standard for quality assurance in our organisations throughout the year and set plans (and indicators) to achieve those targets. The main aspect of my role is to maintain patient safety and safety of the doctors in practice by supporting them, facilitating continuous Medical Education, putting plans in place to help and support doctors in trouble. In this role, i appraise doctors and write recommendation to Responsible Officers for GMC Revalidation purposes. I work with doctors to help them in reflecting and consolidating there work for the year. I also assist them in thinking and in formulating Personal Development Plan to improve in quality and knowledge in the following year. GMC appraisal is very important for all doctors practicing in the UK. Without such appraisal, a doctor will not be able to complete the 5 years revalidation process hence will not be licensed by GMC to practice in the UK. Show less
