Dean - School of Natural Resources and Applied Sciences
-
Jan 2015 - Jul 2016
Headed the School of Natural Resources composed of 3 departments (Agriculture, Forestry, and Environmental Studies) with 27 academic and non-academic staff. Worked on development of a Fisheries Department with Korean support. Active on University Senate, Senior Management, and various committees. SINU was transitioning from a college to a university, so I put a great deal of emphasis on professional development of academic staff in both teaching and research. Having the opportunity to visit many of the remote and beautiful islands was an enjoyable added aspect of the position. Show less
