I have known Dr. Darshan for more than 4 years, as my lecturer, and also as my supervisor at work. As a lecturer, his strong appreciation towards psychology, and pioneering psychological education in Sri Lanka is outstanding and unparalleled. He is an excellent academic with a deep understanding on the importance of research. Initiating an international conference of psychology in Sri Lanka alone is a great step towards making a long lasting impact on academics and students. He is an educator with a vision to expand and fine tune the very definition of higher education; and, he certainly has inspired my academic ambitions as a student of The Colombo Institute of Research and Psychology (CIRP). As an employee of CIRP who has worked for two years so far, I am impressed with his leadership. He has mentored me for a long time, and has inculcated skills of teaching, and administration in me. He is the first mentor to instill a strong sense of leadership in me throughout the years I have worked under him. He is a leader who has inspired many young academics like myself. He is an outstanding lecturer, a wonderful leader, and a reliable friend.

I am happy to state that I have met Dr. Darshan Perera a couple of times at CIRP and found him to be a person who is easy to relate to. He is clearly a win-win manager who has a heart for his associates which he expresses both in word and deed. He is a dreamer who dreams big and enables others to dream big and work towards their realization. In this sense, Dr. Darshan Perera becoming the Founder of the Business Psychology Association of Sri Lanka (BPASL) is no surprise for me. I see him as a person on the go with big dreams to become a great go-getter. I believe that Dr. Darshan Perera is really blessed!
