Conduct research on non-cognitive factors that influence student success peer support program efficacy and treatment outcome. State of Montana analysis of Statewide suicide completions, social identity influence on student success, and the association between loneliness and social identity.Instruct courses in psychology including Introduction to Psychology, Cognition, Learning Theory, Social Psychology, Gender and Race, Developmental Psychology, Psychology of Aging, and para-professional practice courses. Major Accomplishments:• Assisted in implementation of a social work 2X2 program with University of Montana which allows students to complete a bachelor’s degree in social work without leaving the local community.• Designed and implements a Criminal Justice 2X2 program with Montana State University Norther which allows students to complete a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice without leaving the local community. Became lead faculty for the criminal justice program.• Through work with college’s safety committee, chaired sub-committee which recommended preventive and intervention strategies for active shooter situations. • Provided college with trauma informed investigation for Title IX allegations. • Started a Helena College chapter for Psi-Beta honors society.• Strengthened emphasis on experimental and non-behavioral health career tracks for psychology, through creating advising options, strengthening focus on undergraduate research, and implementing courses that are more directed towards non-clinical applications. • In conjunction with TRIO program, implemented a cohort program for first two semesters, designed for first generation students.
