The agency has a national remit, an annual budget of approximately €34 million and 315+ staff located around the country.

  Chief Executive Officer of Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI), the State Agency with responsibility for the Conservation Protection and Development of Irelands inland fisheries and sea angling resource. The agency has a national remit, an annual budget of approximately €34 million and 315+ staff located around the country. I was instrumental in the development of the 2010 Inland Fisheries Act, and following its enactment I led the establishment of IFI through the amalgamation of eight separate State Agencies and became its first CEO.I subsequently led the transformation of IFI into a vibrant, modern professional organisation focused on delivering fisheries protection and development services to our diversse range of stakeholders. As the organisations first CEO my role was to provide strategic leadership to the organisation and to ensure that IFI’s vision, mission and values, captured in the Corprate Plan and annual business plans were delivered.
