As a classroom teacher, I plan and provide engaging and highly effective learning opportunities to students in English and reading classes to help them to improve their literacy skills, improve their critical thinking abilities, prepare for their STAAR EOC exam and for life after high school. ELA Curriculum Specialist

I coordinate and facilitate the writing of ELA curriculum for K-12 in multiple states by providing support to the ELA curriculum writers. Additionally, I provide support to the curriculum specialists for social studies, mathematics, science. That support includes providing guidance on the age-appropriateness and grade-level appropriateness of curriculum components as well as how well those components effectively meet state-mandated curricula.
