I worked with Ankan at the same club when he was the head physio and I was a player. We had to interact on a daily basis for injury reports, physical tests, medical reports and day to day health analysis details. Anjan along with his team were well coordinated and organised in the way they went about things. Ankan always did his best to cater to the medical needs of the players. All injured players were always taken care off with the right kind of treatment and rehab program. Ankan would always check in with the players at half time and full time during the games to ensure that no one had sustained any injuries or had any issues. I often him at the gym as well, where I’ve never seen any other medical staff members. This indicates that along with keeping his players fit, Anjan himself wanted to stay in shape and lead by example. It was a pleasure working with Ankan and I’m sure he will continue to carry his professional approach into any club or company setup he gets into.
