6 month placement conducted as part of Msci psychology and psychological practice at Birmingham Healthy Minds adult IAPT service Shadowed and facilitated group therapies including and introduction to CBT, wellbeing, as well as one off groups in homes for the elderly and colleges. Reviewed the effectiveness of intervention with clients with telephone appointments, referring clients to further intervention where necessary. Assessed and recorded risk according to service standards. A large part of my work with Birmingham Healthy Minds was in undertaking a service evaluation regarding client experience of step 3 group therapy, which involved collating feedback of group therapies run across all healthy minds teams in Birmingham. A set of recommendations were suggested to the team, I also presented my findings in a personal development session for the facilitators delivering the groups studied. Show less
