This training was delivered to staff across a number of inpatient CAMHS units in the North West and aimed to equip trainees with the skills and knowledge to develop their practice and deliver an effective service. Also recieved training in the Incredible Years Baby Group and delivered a number of such groups for parents of 0-6 month old babies aiming to help parents foster optimal social and emotional development in their babies as well as to improve their bond and attachment. 6 month placement conducted as part of Msci psychology and psychological practice at Birmingham Healthy Minds adult IAPT service Shadowed and facilitated group therapies including and introduction to CBT, wellbeing, as well as one off groups in homes for the elderly and colleges. Reviewed the effectiveness of intervention with clients with telephone appointments, referring clients to further intervention where necessary. Assessed and recorded risk according to service standards. A large part of my work with Birmingham Healthy Minds was in undertaking a service evaluation regarding client experience of step 3 group therapy, which involved collating feedback of group therapies run across all healthy minds teams in Birmingham. A set of recommendations were suggested to the team, I also presented my findings in a personal development session for the facilitators delivering the groups studied. Show less
