Teaching - HNC Games graded unit, Programming fundamentals, 2D animation, NPA Computer Games Development & 3D modelling & Animation (NC & HND) Previously - Games User interface/Computing Academic Skills/Social Media Literacy and Information Literacy. I run and supervise our Esports discord server and our teams that take part in the British Esports Association competitions and have done for a couple of years now. As well as teaching I am involved in various projects. We have run a coding clubs project for schools that saw us partner with 3 high schools and we trained students to deliver the clubs. I designed and delivered a course for Out of School Care workers called Introduction to Creative Computing. The purpose of which was to show staff how to make the most of digital technology within their establishments using raspberry pi's. The project was a collaboration between West College Scotland and the Scottish Out of School Care network and will continue for another year. Our projects this year focused on CPD provision for primary and secondary teachers and included a blended approach to learning with a mix of face to face and online sessions via the Glow the Scottish Schools Intranet platform. I am a Microsoft Innovative Expert Educator and have delivered CPD on various topics such as OneNote/Excel and Outlook in house as well as for commercial clients.

The SGEN has been set up as I want to create a better ecosystem for those who teach and study games across Scotland. I've set up a discord network for both staff and students of any games courses in Scotland and hopes to build momentum to help everyone work together and be there for each other as a network. However we will also be keeping everyone in education and games up to date with what we do via the blog & twitter. The Mini Game Jam is an annual event I organise for school children age 10-13. I work in partnership with local council education services who help make the events possible. It involves children spending a day working in teams to create a game using Scratch. I also provide CPD in game making with Scratch for teachers who wish their classes to participate in the event. I ran a one week coding club for years 3/4/5. Over the week I taught children how to make games with Scratch, use the Makey Makey to make game controllers for their games and we also did some work with Microbits. The week ended with a mini jam where the children worked in teams and created their own projects. I ran a one week coding club for years 3/4/5.
