Watch and Learn Two - I created a second version of pupil and teacher resources to accompany a series of eight short Cinemagic Animations called, Watch and Learn Two. The resource is for use with p7 primary or year 8 post-primary pupils. The resource consists of eight short unique international animations. The animations provide a stimulus for teaching and learning and designed to meet the Requirements of the Northern Ireland Curriculum and provide pupils with opportunities to develop skills and Social and Emotional Learning competencies Cinemagic Young Audiences Supporting Foodbanks – This educational resource was designed for p 7 pupils in primary school but could also be used for year 8 pupils in post-primary schools. I created this educational resource to support Cinemagic’ s work in partnership with the Trussell Trust to develop young people’s understanding about poverty issues including child and food poverty and the impact this has on families and children in Northern Ireland and the growing need for foodbanks. The aim of this resource is to encourage young people to be active citizens and to inspire them to help their communities and those in need by exploring ways to tackle poverty. The lessons are aligned to the Northern Ireland Primary Curriculum and closely linked to Personal Development and to strand 2, Mutual Understanding in the Local and Wider Community. This provides a link to the concept of Active Citizenship and is used to encourage pupils to think about how they can make a positive difference in their school and community. The lessons, in addition to developing pupils’ knowledge and understanding, provide a range of opportunities for developing pupils’ skills, attitudes and dispositions. Show less

The video tells the story of young people from different community backgrounds in Northern Ireland and their relationships. In particular it focuses on the relationship between two of the main characters, Lucas and Angel. Although, it is particularly suitable for teaching in Local and Global Citizenship it can also be taught through other subjects. Show less
