  • Work in conjunction with the Objective 1 Leader, Legislative Strengthening Specialist, and Capacity Building Specialist to design activities that increase the knowledge and ability of Somalia’s legislative bodies and actors to make sound budgetary and financial governance decisions. • Contribute to budget and finance activities undertaken in cooperation with the local institutions, including sharing of best practices, recommendations for improving budget and finance policies and procedures, developing regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs). • Develop relevant activities through assessment trips, initiating and evaluating the progress of pilot projects and other pilot activities, and suggesting adjustments based upon the progress made. • Provide mentoring, training, and support to budget and financial management professionals and their respective staff. • Coordinate as needed with the Public Financial Management Manager and technical team members from the other two objective teams on project activities. • Provide inputs to the project’s quarterly reports, workplans, and other project reports and deliverables as needed. • Help ensure that the project’s performance targets and deliverables outlined in the contract and workplans are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Objective 1 Leader or Chief of Party.
