Doug pioneered the development of our scripting language at Carbine and pretty much drove the development of all the functionality. I had no idea how to script and the time, and Doug taught me how to use C++ in a way that made it understandable -- no small feat. He ended up pushing the development of a scripting tool and editor that made it simple for even a newbie content designer to put together really complex script functionality on just about anything in the game. I miss that tool, and I miss working with Doug.

Dedicated. Doug is the most dedicated employee I have ever had. Doug never complained about working long hours. Doug was the first to volunteer for the tasks no one else wanted. Doug thrives on the challenge of new and varied tasks, and will find his own solutions instead of seeking constant guidance. He has an infectious energy that keeps his co-workers upbeat and on their toes.
