Doug wears many hats at CT Voices for Children. I reported to Doug – the Acting Managing Director, though he is also CT Voices’ expert data analyst and researcher. No matter how busy he was, his door was always open. I could approach him with any question or issue about managing the office, give my honest opinion and recommendations, and walk away with clear directions and his full support. It was truly a pleasure working with Doug and having him as a supervisor.

I was always impressed with Doug's work at Voices. He always seemed to be well versed in his understanding of and ability to work with data/statistics. Moreover, he was always willing to tutor others on the staff.

I am also a member of the Hampshire/Franklin and Hampden County Workforce Board's data committee, providing expert-user feedback on the data and data-tools guiding the region's labor market blueprint.

Analysis of trends in the economy, with particular focus on the challenges facing working families as they strive to overcome barriers to economic prosperity. A central focus of my work is to communicate complex issues through data analysis and data visualization. I've been advising Community Action Agencies on how to leverage public data sources to better understand their communities and to better manage their organizations.
