I'm not your typical operator. I have come into sub station work and have learned ground up. I have been a part from digging for foundations to setting breakers. From running 19/9 or 4/0 ground to devices. I have had my hands on nearly every part and function of an operating substation. I write the morning JSA and help to enforce it. As the leads are being installed after everything has been tested we have to Micro Ohm the leads. This ensures a good connection. I'm not your typical operator. Working with this company gave me the opportunnity to show my abilities and professionalism. Here I was in charge of the crew when the foreman wasn't able. As the lead lineman I did nearly everything the foreman did. Knowing how to read and interpret the prints is crucial. I have been able to read prints for years. Develop a working warehouse to accommodate line crews. The 5000sq.ft. building was a blank slate. We also had 2 acres for parking and lay-down yard for poles. I would go out with crews on storm work or if they needed a hand with a project. I negotiated with the power company for special supplies. I ordered job packets for incoming jobs. Assisted the GF and Safety Co-ordinator. Develop a working warehouse to accommodate line crews. The 5000sq.ft. building was a blank slate. We also had 2 acres for parking and lay-down yard for poles.
