I had the pleasure to work with Douglas for many years in P&G, in São Paulo Plant, Brazil. It was always a great opportunity for me as a leader to have him on my team because all the challenges given to him would be always be delivered with excellence. The leadership work done by Douglas with his team was impressive and the results were always indisputable. He has the ability to understand what motivates every person on his team and uses it to keep everybody motivated and delivering performance at their peak. The line under his responsibility was a model to the entire plant in many systems such as Safety, Quality, Autonomous Maintenance and Progressive Maintenance. The organizational climate was excellent and the team was one of the strongest in the plant. Douglas capacity to embrace new challenges and to deliver them is admirable and he was known in P&G for this characteristic. His sense of urgency and determination are very high, he is the kind of person that doesn’t wait for things to happen: he makes it happen. The line under his responsibility was the best in Safety, Quality and Reliability, always delivering all the cases committed with the business. This was possible due to his 0 and 100 mentality – always taking losses to 0 and results to 100%. I highly recommend Douglas as a strong resource for any company.
