I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Doug for over 15 years. He is a transformational, innovative, empathetic leader who models student centered leadership. In his role as the Dean over our Family Resource Center, he continually reinforced and promoted our mission to support student parents holistically and worked across silos to ensure student success. He and I believe that when families are doing well, students can succeed in academic and workforce programs. His work has been recognized regionally and nationally. When we worked together I watched him create coalitions of programs and services on campus that created seamless and effective services for students and community members. He makes any team or organization he is part of a better place to be with his positivity, passion, and commitment to service, and I am grateful for our work together.
