Between 1996 and 2007, I was trained in crisis intervention techniques, firearm handling/instruction, advanced driving techniques, and advanced marksmanship skills. I was certified to instruct advanced combat marksmanship skills which led to me being assigned as armor for my unit. From 2007 to 2010 I was trained in evidence processing and collection. I conducted surveillance on potential narcotics distributors in the military community. My efforts resulted in a 300% increase in drug seizures. This was accomplished by utilizing informants and compiling information on the potential distributor. I was trained in advanced first aid, driving/maneuvering techniques, fuming for fingerprints, fingerprinting, and loss prevention techniques. In 2008, I was the lead investigator on a case which resulted in the seizure of the largest drug on a military installation in Europe since 2002. From 2013 to 2016, I was assigned to the command staff team. During this time I conducted Physical security inspections of subordinate units. I was 1 of 2 military police who attended the military crime and criminal intelligence analyst course. I was required to provide crime and criminal trends for a unit of 4,200 Soldiers. Additionally, I provided the Brigade Commander on possible solutions to reduce crime rates of the Soldiers under his command. I passed the Unit prevention leader course and was required to administer urinalysis of Soldiers within my unit and conduct inspections on subordinate units within the Brigade.
