Ralph the Dog was initially a costume character used for shopping centre promotion, but evolved to also become a mascot for the Calgary Stampeder Football Club, Canada's most popular sport mascot. "Ralph" attended over 300 events per year, from international sporting events, to children's parties. Highlights included attending and cheering at 5 Grey Cup (National Championship) games, participating in various parades and charity telethons across the country.
