I had the pleasure to work with Doug during 2006 in Australia and since 2010 in Qatar. His passion - especially for organised, professional support in demanding situations - results in his oustanding ability to address important matters in a sound, clear and firm way. His contribution in training of own staff as well as contractors as well as sustaining the focus over time, especially in the field of HSE and emergency/crisis management, are a invaluable contribution to successful low incident frequency. He has proven to continuously improve set standards in existing organisations and establish the standards in greenfield projects.

Doug is an action oriented individual with a vast knowledge and many years experience in the Aluminium industry. Doug was part of the original training team coopted to assist with the development and rollout of standards, procedures and operating procedures when Qatalum was being built. Doug later moved to HSE where he was instrumental in the development and implementation of the Qatalum Safety Delegate system. Doug was given the position of Senior Specialist Safety and he excelled in the role. I can honestly say that Doug is one of the most dedicated and loyal individuals I ever had the pleasure of working with and I can recommend him fom any position that he chooses. He wil most certainly be an asset to any company.
