Derek was, and still is, an absolute pleasure to work with. We were classmates in General Assembly's Software Engineering Immersive, and partners on one group project. Derek was patient in explaining advanced programming concepts of API integration when I had difficulty grasping it. He remained humble in his approach, and took on big challenges always hungry for more. I could not recommend Derek more to prospective hiring managers and recruiters. After the course was over, Derek helped me deploy my final project to Heroku and continues to support his classmates in their pursuits.
