  Since 1982, I've been the layout artist, film cutter, maker of the film positives, as well as bookkeeping, payroll, and generally running the office. In my spare time, there's the shop work as well-- trimming, sewing, packing, and shipping.   Back before the days of Adobe Illustrator, artwork came in black & white hard copy. I would enlarge on an opaque projector, do the actual size layouts with pencil and paper, and then cut rubylith to make film positives. Smaller type was set with chartpak lettering cut from sheets, and burnished. Made some hand-painted banners as well. Aaah the good old days.
