Aug 2017 - Present
As an Associate professor in the College of Health at the University of Utah, I teach classes in psychosocial theory, research methods, and the interrelationships between leisure, health and development. My primary reserach focus is exploring how stigma affects health behavior. My research agenda has included investigations of how weight related stigma affects people with obesity, and the role of gender stereotypes in development. I'm also interested in exploring experiences with stigma among cancer patients post-treatment.
