UKCP is the largest professional regulator of psychotherapists and their training programmes in the UK. This role’s focus is to manage the expanding R&QA team which is responsible for the operational aspects of the regulatory function for individual and organisational members, ensuring good practice and compliance with UKCP standards and requirements. Responsibilities in this role include:• Manage company systems in order to ensure consistency and continuous improvement of quality assurance processes across the organisation with a focus on regulation of individual members and organisational members. • Manage the operational aspects of the regulatory and quality assurance functions for individual and organisational members, including managing the:o quality review process for organisational memberso annual registrants’ audit• Attend all regulatory committee meetings, ensuring strategies are met and effective collaborative working.• Manage the Regulation team and Ethics Committee budgets• Recruitment, line management and development of 3 Officers• Support Organisational Members during lockdown and the future, providing engagement opportunities and guidance• Ensure QA processes continue to meet robust regulatory requirements during remote working and lockdown.Some recent achievements include:• Led the team in developing database tools for tracking, managing and reporting on OM QA• Leading the team on centralising regulatory operational processes• Develop and implement guidance in relation to re-registration of professional members• Develop and implement policy and procedures in relation to applicant university programmes joining UKCP as accredited Organisational Members• Identify Organisational Member needs and project plan to develop a ‘tool kit’ to improve engagement and meeting of requirements• Develop and implement guidance for Organisational Members (training organisations) in relation to working and training remotely. I stay busy with a multitude of hats, but the primary focuses of my day to day involves quality reviewing registrants and organisational members to ensure they are meeting regulatory requirements, reporting on outcomes of those assessments in terms of quality assurance and risk, providing regulatory support, supporting the Ethics Committee, supporting and training volunteers, and drafting procedures and processes.
