Air Traffic Controller (ATC) - FAA certified in Texas, Hawaii, and Germany (Tower Manager). ATC / Operations classroom instructor / operations supervisor for nine years at Ft. Rucker, Alabama. Company First Sergeant for 2 units: (1) D Co. 164th Air Traffic Services - Area manager for 138 air traffic controllers providing tower services at two fixed airfields, a centralized flight following facility, two mobile ATC teams, and one mobile flight following/communications relay team. Responsible for administration, training & deployment. Served as an Airspace Liaison to the South Korean 1st Army coordinating airspace usage during tactical exercises. (2) HHC, 1-212th Aviation - First Sergeant for a company of 75 personnel; responsible for day-to-day operations and administrative activities of flight school support unit; supporting the operations of 220 Army aircraft; supervising airfield base operations, flight operations, and ALSE (Aircraft Life Support Equipment) shop activities; training and professional development of assigned personnel. Quality Control inspector for the airfield contract security. 12th Aviation Brigade - Brigade and Battalion Staff (MSG) - Plans and Training section for a Blackhawk Helicopter unit. Senior enlisted adviser for the S3 staff section supervising an enlisted staff of 14 with duties of taskings, schools, and flight operations supervisor; team member for the deployment and operation of the unit’s aircraft, vehicles, and personnel to combat operations in Kuwait and Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Brigade Force Protection NCO managing guard detail and rotation for six airfield perimeter guard towers.
