I was reappointed as a Second Grade Homeroom teacher at the start of the forth quarter to fill a last minute vacancy. Responsible for developing and teaching a comprehensive grade appropriate program under the leadership of the elementary school principal. All units are AERO Standards based and are developed using the Understanding by Design framework to enhance student understanding. Appointed to plan and develop grade appropriate programs in Langauage Arts and Earth Science. An additional responsibility was to provide the necessary academic support needed to the students as they transitioned from the elementary to the middle school. I worked with the students in developing time management and study skills that would allow them to be successful n the Middle School. I was appointed as the Middle School team leader by the K-8 principal. We worked closely together to developed programs, teacher development and assisting at-risk students. I was appointed as the expat Literacy teacher to work with a group of six Indonesian teachers. My main area of responsible was to develop grade appropriate language lessons for the students who were ESL students. I was also instructed to mentor and develop the Indonesian teachers. We would collaborate in developing the central ideas for each of the six units of inquiry. I would guide them in their teaching practice and assist in the development of both formative and summative assessment tasks.
