the 'First Touch" Infant massage training is considered by Medical research as the Gold Standard in baby massage programs. This program invites you to learn in a safe nonjudgmental environment. Where you can develop and strengthen lifelong bonds of trust and attachment whilst you practice the art of infant massage. The Brain-Body Moves “First Touch and Connect" program offers parents the opportunity to learn many different ways of using baby massage and healthy touch with their babies. As an educator, I am specially trained in this cue-based approach to teaching infant massage and supporting parent-infant interaction. In this approach parents are supported to explore and develop confidence in noticing and understanding their baby’s cues. As an Educator I use an individualised approach so parents can use and adapt healthy touch, baby massage and other types of interaction in response to these cues, in ways that suit their own parenting style and choices. Unlike the remedial or therapeutic massage for adults that most people are familiar with, cue-based infant massage has nothing to do with treating or fixing any particular problem. Cue-based infant massage is not a ‘day spa’ treatment for babies. Babies depend on interactions of touch, voice, movement, eye contact and facial expressions with others, to gain information and learn about their social world. Babies, in turn, respond to this communication back to their parent through different vocalisations, facial expressions and other cues…to which the parent responds back again. This conversation or “dance” between parents and babies is something that child development experts call serve-and-return. This "First Touch & Connect" Program uses cue-based infant massage to build on this serve-and-return interaction between parents and babies. These interactions which our cue-based infant massage program builds, are believed to be one of the crucial keys underpinning all future brain development.

Her work history holds an extensive amount of training & experience working in various body-oriented disciplines. She has lived, worked and studied in Australia, USA, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Europe. She has held a clinical practice in Australia since 1987. Currently maintains a private Feldenkrais-based practice on the Gold Coast since 1995. DonnaRose sees babies & children with special needs and works extensively with adults with special needs, as well as able-bodied individuals who seek attainable and sustainable ways to move with more comfort & ease. Her passion for the work of Dr Moshe Feldenkrais grew from a pursuit of her desire for a clear, sensory-somatic experience in her own body. Postgrad Feldenkrais-based training is with the Jeremy Krauss Approach-JKA-for Babies, Children w/ Special Needs. Both methods are movement-based learning systems that enhance one's abilities to move and be in life. Through explorations of one’s body in action, one becomes aware of how habits of moving or ‘postured positions’ in specific ways can be restrictive and limiting. Founded on the science of Neuroplasticity- the brain’s ability to change and reorganise itself by forming new neural connections and developmental pathways based on movement, the hands-on approach is non-invasive movement-based that respects individuals as intelligent human beings. The outcomes of this work are that any individual, no matter their developmental challenges, can be supported and facilitated to explore and sense an improved use of their potential-physically, mentally & emotionally. The learning process is for helping individuals increase their abilities, and improve their sense of their abilities. These services and 1:1 hands-on process offered is 100% personalised, not trying to fit the individual into a frame but developing a frame of experience that meets the individual

Feldenkrais® practitioners address how people move, how they create movement patterns that contribute to their circumstance, and how to help them influence these. This shift of perspective from dealing with a static problem to engaging with our clients in their dynamic interactions gives us both, practitioner and student, the ability to actively influence ourselves, each other, and the situation in fundamental ways. This is very effective, and the ability to participate in the forming of our actions is empowering. It generates joy in the present moment and hope for a future." DonnaRose McAneney is an Australian Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner (CFP) and has maintained a private practice on the Gold Coast since 1995. Donna-Rose brings to her Feldenkrais work a vast experience of training and working in various body-work disciplines. She has lived, worked and studied in Australia, the USA, New Zealand and Europe.
