• Outside Plant Coordinator and Invoice Controller - PSTN Project

  The PSTN Project was about the Rehabilitation modernization and expansion of the public switching facilities for the telephone network in Lebanon, a 1 million line expansion program (fixed and Mobile) including 900, 000 lines Outside Plant, Switching 1.1 million lines, transmission network, 309 exchange buildings and 250 telecom towers.As Outside Plant Coordinator and Invoice Controller, I was responsible of:• Coordination between Contractors (Alcatel, Ericsson and Siemens), DAR Engineers and Ministry regarding Outside plant information System at all stages (design , implementation, acceptance and take-over) • Assistance to the Chief Engineer in project management, contract management and claims, and preparation of monthly reports• Invoice control of all Outside Plant submitted invoices (supply and installation).• Negotiations for settlement of new items prices and for changing the contracts type into lump sum contracts.

  I started off my career in 1995 as an Outside Plant Coordinator for the PSTN Project (Rehabilitation modernization and expansion of the public switching facilities for the telephone network in Lebanon) and was responsible of:• Verification of outside plant designs submitted by the Contractors Alcatel, Ericsson and Siemens• Coordination with the Employer (Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and Council for the Development and Resconstruction at the time) regarding unit prices and design approval• Follow-up on material approvals• Check-up on materials delivery• Collection of demand forecasts, sites information, and implementation of database for the outside plant.
