• Ensure the Centre for Sport and Wallscourt Farm Gym operates smoothly on effectively on a day to day basis. • Supervise and co-ordinate the efficient set up and take down of sports equipment and materials for bookings and events. • Supervise and coordinate recreation assistants and reception staff ensuring a high level of customer service is achieved. Management of staff breaks, cash handling and reporting, refunds, problem solving and handing customer complaints. • Ensure UWE policies and procedures are implemented at all times • Reporting any damages to university buildings, and equipment. Undertaking safety checks and report any discrepancies. • In accordance with UWE health, safety and security processes testing the functionality of fire and panic alarm systems, reporting any defects as a matter of urgency. • Administer First Aid and/or call for further assistance to ensure medical incidents are dealt with efficiently and promptly. Make ensuring that accurate records and reports are completed. • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the centre, completing relevant documentation and assist in maintaining standards. • Co-ordination of staff uniforms including purchase, stock control and management. • Maintain the operation of the UWE online store including updates, data entry and housekeeping. • Overseeing locker maintenance by checking for faults and repairing any minor damages. In addition to monitoring and resolving large maintenance issues. • Creating and implementing a new starter operational folder. This comprises of daily maintenance, operational procedures, equipment checks and monthly equipment stock checks. Show less
