I have had the privilege of watching Donna De Carolis, the founding dean of the Close School of Entrepreneurship at Drexel University, launch the first free-standing degree granting school of entrepreneurship in the U.S. Donna is an extraordinary leader who inspires her students to pursue their dreams of starting something, building a business and develop entrepreneurship skills, as she pursues her own dream – to change the world of entrepreneurial education. Donna has put together a very special team to help fulfill her vision. They are all focused on mission of the Close School. She constantly gives credit to her staff for the great things being achieved by the School. Donna has a keen eye for talent when hiring Close School staff. She and her staff work together as a high-performance team. Donna has created a culture within the Close School where everyone feels a sense of ownership for what they do individually, and for what they all do collectively as a team for their students. Ask any staff member why they are there, and each will respond,

Donna lives and breathes innovation. While at Drexel, I had the honor of taking one of Donna's classes. The class was thought provoking, challenging, and fun. Check out Donna's New Venture program on the LeBow website: https://secure.lebow.drexel.edu/Baiada/NewVentures/
