It's all too easy to write a bland recommendation on LinkedIn about someone you worked with, but getting over the essence of the value someone had to you is harder. I was introduced to Donna through a trusted former and, at that time, current colleague ... the fact she was a recommendation says a lot in itself! At interview, Donna was candid and clear about what she was good at, and had appropriate humility about what she wanted to improve about herself. In the event, she needn't have been quite so humble because she was fundamentally excellent at her job, she made her clients feel at ease, she took pressure extremely well whilst having a convincing veneer always of being calm. She was professional, organised, worked with alacrity and was faultless in her execution. She had an experience with an extremely challenging client during our time together and it's the professional way she handled that which really stands out to me. Personally, I found her an absolute pleasure to work with, she put up with all of my foibles, and always retained a great sense of humour. She was popular with her colleagues and many friends she had at work. I wouldn't hesitate to work with her again.
