I worked with Don as a volunteer with the American Cancer Society. Don was very passionate about his work and made many positive changes during his time in Orlando. Don not only was a great manager to his staff, but also worked with thousands of volunteers. He is always professional and courteous to all constituents.

SOME (So Others Might Eat) is an interfaith, community-based organization that exists to help the poor and homeless of our nation's capital. We meet the immediate daily needs of the people we serve with food, clothing, and healthcare. We help break the cycle of homelessness by offering services, such as affordable housing, job training, addiction treatment, and counseling, to the poor, the elderly, and individuals with mental illness. Each day, SOME is restoring hope and dignity one person at a time. As EVP, CDO, I am responsible for making strategic decisions affecting the organization. Working closely with the CEO, the position forges new relationships and sustains and grows current relationships to increase SOME's financial resources, visibility, and impact. Design and implement a comprehensive plan and develop key external alliances by cultivating, soliciting and stewarding philanthropic support. Show less
