Head Market and Product Development

Sep 2000 - Sep 2015
I was the Head of Market and Product Development at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), beginning May 1 2010. My responsibilities included managing the brand of the Nairobi Securities Exchange, the marketing of the NSE’s products and services, investor relations, public relations and the development and launch of new products and services. I was also in charge of all public education initiatives and the Exchange corporate social responsibility initiatives. Prior to becoming the Head of Market and Product Development, I was the Manager Policy Research and Analysis. As Manager Policy Research and Analysis, my responsibilities covered research on new product development and lobbying for policy to facilitate capital markets development and the integration of the East African Community (EAC) capital markets. I was also the personal assistant to the Chief Executive in a technical capacity. From November 2000 until I left the Exchange, I also oversaw the affairs of the Secretariat of the African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA), headquartered at the Nairobi Securities Exchange; website: www.africansea.org.
