Over 300 students apply and over 200 faculty and staff review and systematically approve students to receive a maximum prize of $3000. In the spring of each year, a research symposium is held where students can showcase their grant-funded research. LS Grad TrackerCreated a web application that helps 100+ graduate students in the College of Life Sciences report their progress towards graduation. Students can report the classes they have taken by semester and grades received and reflect on any challenges for the semester. The student's committee chair reviews the student's progress and can essentially rate their progress. This facilitates the chair's ability to help students meet their academic goals and, thus, graduation.LS Bear TrackerSpearheaded development of a bear attack database and web application that holds 30,000+ entries. Allows researchers to filter bear attacks based on location, year, record number, etc.
