  In 2012 I had the privilege to serve a one year term as President of the SIM Central CT Chapter. SIM provides an opportunity for IT executives to meet, network, colaborate and take-in a intellectual presentation 8-9 times per year on a subject that may be keeping them up at night at a first class venue. As a not for profit organization, SIM reaches out and educates our youth on the possibilities of a carreer in Information Technology. This is especially important today because our youth are not showing the interest in Science, Math and Technology. In just a few years we will find ourselves short on resources in the USA and will be forced to outsource these positions. As an organization that is more than 4,000 people strong we need to stay comitted to reversing this trend. In 2012, with the help of our fellow Board Members, SIM Central CT more than doubled its membership, held (2) Future in IT events, presented (2) new four year scholarships and continued its support to past scholarship recipients that are pursuing a degree in technology.
